Yet another Tektronix 1240 instrument, but unfortunately it does not work. The instrument starts, but fails in the selftest with the message:

The rest of the modules; I/O, display, control, trigger and interfaces pass the selftest. It is dismounted and some parts are kept as spare parts and the rest thrown away.
Front view:
- The display with the touch screen, there are 10 predefined positions for the touch buttons, 5 at the top and 5 at the bottom of the screen.
- The Execute buttons: Start, Stop and Auto.
- The Scroll wheel.
- The Menu buttons: Config, Trigger, Data, Edit and Utility.
- The digits: 0..9, A..F, X (don't care) and Glitch.
- The two select buttons: Up and Down.
- The navigations buttons: Left, Right, Up, Down and Next.
- The DC on/off switch.
Rear view:
- The main AC power switch.
- The main AC fuse which should be 5AF (fast) when used on the 115V net and 2.5AF (fast) on the 230V net. The fuse found on this instrument is a 5A (should be a 2.5A)
so someone did not change or bother about using the appropriate fuse (nitpicking).
- The main AC power connector.
- The main AC line voltage selector (115V/230V).
- Coaxial connector for the video output (external display).
- A contrast knob for the internal display.
- Two coaxial connectors for external trigger input and output.
- A slot for a COMM PACK (not used).
Right view:
- All the connectors for the probes, one common for clocks, triggers etc. and 8 data probes numbered from 0 to 7. Behind the slots 0 and 1 we have a 9 channels
interface card so the slot 1 is not used, and there is none interface card installed for the slots 6 and 7.
- A slot for a PROM/RAM PACK.
